*know about me*

Watch me gush over?
~Dias Flac~
Yeah, big hair. Or was that big.. sword? He's got both. And no problem at all handling either.
~Fujimiya Aya~
...a pimp. Deny it.
~Takahashi Ryousuke~
Kyaaa, Ryousuke-sama~!
...he has fanboys. Really. Fanmen, even.
~Kakashi-sensei~
The fruit I wish I could have to teach me.. even if I have to endure his unorthodox methods.
~Ayame~
Because I have to admire anyone as confident in his own sexuality as he is. (And no, I'm not the monkey.)
~APP~
See above? And he has to be the gayest straight guy I've ever come across. Written all across his hips. =P

Worships?
The being whom I affectionately (and occasionally a little reverently) call Koyapi. His real name is Koyasu Takehito, the man with the teeth of god and the immortal voice behind Sennichite. And Aya. And SeishirouTouga
RyousukeHannagatato name a few. And Sakano, who is part of the reason why I wub them all.

Inane green tea fact?
All teas come from a plant known as Camellia Sinensis. The basic difference between green tea and other varieties is that green tea is not fermented- which occurs during the production process.

Layout?
Did this by myself, by hand, using the css I learnt at club. Mm, css.

Kit, I loved that episode.. I think that Ximen and Meizhuo were really good sports about selling the cakes.. although it was their idea in the first place, but..

And Ximen's name still amuses me. Jo-chan's fault.

Am watching Fushigi Yuugi now.

...forgive me, but I think that it's bad. Really bad. And if my twelve-year-old sister showed /half/ as much stupidity as Miaka, I'd be forced to slap her silly.

I present to you the feeling of realization you get when you realise that the "pair 'o dice" part of the lyric you've been puzzling over in a song isn't "pair 'o dice" at all, but rather "paradise".

..and the afterfeeling that comes when you recall that the song's name is /Paradise/.

Now I know why I seldom pay attention to lyrics in Japanese songs.

Finally got Yoruzuya (wan4 se4 tong1 zhen4 tan4 she4, Gcomics, for anyone who wants it, in Chinese- or at least I think. My Chinese is weaker than cheese with too many holes in it.); Kino had books 1, 4, and 5. I could kill them. CC doesn't appear to carry it, so it's either order, or wait for Kino. But I have book one, at least.

Book 1: Dysfunctionality, cross-dressing, shounen-ai vibes thick enough to cut, and the gayest straight guy I've ever seen.

09:02 p.m.

I went busking today. Sort of, since I didn't really perform- I was supposed to be there to hold out donation cans only (we're collecting for the Spastic Children's Association of Singapore)- but due to one thing or another it ended up more like selling flags instead.

If you're ever in a hurry to get through a crowded road, you can try holding a can and asking for donations. Today, I parted the Red Sea. People just walked away, glanced at me, then averted their eyes.. and when I held up the large card that stated the charity we were collecting for (you try saying "Spastic Children's Association every single time you approach a person) there were people who snickered.. and I could hear them bandying about the word, "spastic". >_>;

There were the nice people too; people who smiled at us even as they walked away- people who didn't act as if we were lepers or invisible; not counting the people who actually donated. I mean, I can sympathise with the pedestrians who ran into us. I can understand if you don't want to donate, because it's your choice. Orchard Road is a favorite spot for charity fundraisers; just next to us were a group of people selling apples for some other charity (who were rather rude, if I may add, to set up just next to where we were. Jeez. The CBD's big enough..) So it's perfectly understandable if you don't want to donate. It is not on the benevolence of our fellow man but on his self-interest that we depend on, and all that. But really! Laughing at it!

03:58 p.m.

I aten't dead.

...or so Granny Weatherwax sez, but the last time I read Prachett was too long ago for me to be sure whether or not I got that right. Anyway. I've been reading and doing stuff, but mostly I've been watching Pretear. Had it since before the common tests, but it's only recently that I've begun watching it.

I like it. Lots. In retrospect, that might be due to the fact that the relationship between the three main characters kind of reminded me of that of the Hana Yori Dango drama's, (which I've been watching, and which basically means to say that two of them beat each other up all the time, mentally, emotionally, and occasionally, physically, while the other one just stands there smiling serenely). Only done much, much, better. I started watching Meteor Garden mainly because a friend lent them to me- and then went on to finish it because Meia got the set and lent me the ones that I didn't have- but a more torturous watching, I have never experienced.

Not to say that Meteor Garden is bad (okay, depending on your tolerance for fluff/angst and plotlessness, some people would probably say that it is)- I watched it, and I /wanted/ to watch it, but there were parts where I was hopping around the living room, because howling in protest is probably very undignified and would make my family think I was mad. Meteor Garden, I think, is the serialised version of the Dance of the the Slow, the Emotionally Inept, and the Long-Suffering Firefighters. Drawn out. Repeatedly.

..but it's cute, at least.

Back to Pretear. I like it because it's cute, funny, and has a heroine strong, caring, loveable, etc, yet believable. And while romance does play a part in the story, it isn't the entirety of the driving force behind the plot. (Although, the series being based loosely on Snow White..) Here's the opening song to the series, which I liked lots.

I got what volumes of Pretear manga I could find, later. It's pretty good, but I'm glad I watched the anime first before getting the manga, because I would have screamed at how much they left out and how much the characters were changed. I've only read three books, but the plot differs greatly from that of the anime, and character designs are quite different as well- I think the anime designs are prettier, but also shallower. Which isn't to say that the manga art isn't good, because it is. Pretear manga art strikes me as a cross between Eva manga art, and CLAMP art. Two of the characters even remind me of characters from those series, personality wise. (Hayate, of Touya -inasmuch as Touya can be Touya without Sakura and Yukito- and Sasame, of Nagisa Kaworu, because really, he is Kaworu only in disguise.)

Other than that, I've also been reading the Wealth of Nations, by Adam Smith, both as a token attempt to show my concerned parents that "look, I'm studying!" and because it's interesting. It's going rather slowly, though, due to the rather archaic nature of the English- the type where sometimes you add "e"s and "ke"s where they would seem rather pompous and redundant in modern English. I'm also making notes as I go. The book (books, but my copy is in one tome) seems to me more like a treatise on philosophy than on economics- and for such an old book, it is somehow clearer and more concise than my textbooks today.

Mm. *goes to read*
